We're on the lookout for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. In this critical role, you’ll lead the end-to-end processing of payroll for our diverse, national workforce -ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth experience for our people.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Own the full payroll process (fortnightly and monthly) for employees across various employment types and jurisdictions
• Interpret awards and agreements, especially the Children’s Services Award
• Ensure compliance with legislation including PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, STP, NES and Fair Work
• Manage payroll tax, leave accruals, entitlements, and EOFY reconciliations
• Drive process improvement initiatives and maintain data integrity in our HRIS
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert during our payroll platform transformation -from configuration to go-live support

ABOUT YOU

• 5+ years of experience in end-to-end payroll, including award-based environments
• Strong technical knowledge of payroll systems (HR3 experience a plus)
• A deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
